Kill’m… NOW!
Over the last week I noticed I kept itching on my ankles. A quick inspection yielded welt like bites and a couple of culprits in action. As I was getting bitten a few times a night – I just couldn’t wait any longer. Those fleas had to go. I’m a hair away from kicking our sweet pit bull and even our teddy bear cute yorkie to the back yard! I bought some Raid Concentrated Deep Reach Foggers & hubby set them off all over the house. They seemed to do the trick short term, but everything I read online said they could re-emerge in a few weeks. I read that Twenty Mule Team Borax with a 3 to 1 part salt mixture basically dehydrates the fleas and their eggs. BTW – has anyone done this? I looked at my local Walmart and found Twenty Mule Team Borax for only 2.96 a box. Not bad! I plan to borax/salt the house tomrorow, leave on a day and vaccuum. In the meantime – I feel overwhlemed by the amount of cleaning, vaccuming, etc I need to do now and the dread of those little things coming back.
“Hello?…CPS?”
This week has been crazy hectic. It just flew by. But I feel *SUPER* guilty. and I can’t believe I did it…
On Wed, I got up as usual – late. Showered, Ironed clothes, woke up the kids and dried my hair. I happened to check the calendar and realized that my son had a field trip schedule to go to the zoo. I mentioned it do my hubby and he says “Oh yeah, he needs a sack lunch”. Dammit! Of course I have nothing to send for lunch. So dad packs a standard bologna & cheese sandwich and a baggie of grapes. I have to run to the store for chips and drink. I have less than 30 minutes to go from store to drop kids and make it across town to work. After leaving the store, I grab what I bought and throw it in a large ziploc. Presto – sack lunch! I haul-ass to drop the kids. As I’m leaving them at daycare, my daughter says “I’m just wondering about breakfast?” Dammit twice! I know I gave her that blank wtf look. Luckily, the Asst Director took control and ushered them to the kitchen and I was able to go back to my hauling ass to work. I wonder how many other mom’s have forgetten to feed their kid? Oh well – they ate after all and that’s all that counts.
I’m so great!
