Kill’m… NOW!
Over the last week I noticed I kept itching on my ankles. A quick inspection yielded welt like bites and a couple of culprits in action. As I was getting bitten a few times a night – I just couldn’t wait any longer. Those fleas had to go. I’m a hair away from kicking our sweet pit bull and even our teddy bear cute yorkie to the back yard! I bought some Raid Concentrated Deep Reach Foggers & hubby set them off all over the house. They seemed to do the trick short term, but everything I read online said they could re-emerge in a few weeks. I read that Twenty Mule Team Borax with a 3 to 1 part salt mixture basically dehydrates the fleas and their eggs. BTW – has anyone done this? I looked at my local Walmart and found Twenty Mule Team Borax for only 2.96 a box. Not bad! I plan to borax/salt the house tomrorow, leave on a day and vaccuum. In the meantime – I feel overwhlemed by the amount of cleaning, vaccuming, etc I need to do now and the dread of those little things coming back.
“Hello?…CPS?”
This week has been crazy hectic. It just flew by. But I feel *SUPER* guilty. and I can’t believe I did it…
On Wed, I got up as usual – late. Showered, Ironed clothes, woke up the kids and dried my hair. I happened to check the calendar and realized that my son had a field trip schedule to go to the zoo. I mentioned it do my hubby and he says “Oh yeah, he needs a sack lunch”. Dammit! Of course I have nothing to send for lunch. So dad packs a standard bologna & cheese sandwich and a baggie of grapes. I have to run to the store for chips and drink. I have less than 30 minutes to go from store to drop kids and make it across town to work. After leaving the store, I grab what I bought and throw it in a large ziploc. Presto – sack lunch! I haul-ass to drop the kids. As I’m leaving them at daycare, my daughter says “I’m just wondering about breakfast?” Dammit twice! I know I gave her that blank wtf look. Luckily, the Asst Director took control and ushered them to the kitchen and I was able to go back to my hauling ass to work. I wonder how many other mom’s have forgetten to feed their kid? Oh well – they ate after all and that’s all that counts.
I’m so great!

Paid… yeah Bia-tch!
I finally got my government we’re-gonna-give-you-back-some-of-the-money-that’s-really-yours stimulus check. I don’t know about you, but I did not go out and blow mine on things I don’t need just to feed the economic spending machine and “stimulate” the economy. With gas prices over $4.00 a gallon, I couldn’t afford to waste this money. Instead, my check went to stuff that was NEEDED not wanted… well, kind of. We paid off our VERY expensive big screen. And I don’t mean “very expensive” in a good way! For the price we paid including financing and all; we could’ve bought two hell, maybe three big screens. That sucks. But we no longer have a high ass TV payment to make monthly - which in turn will help us subsidize the DOUBLED daycare cost. Can’t complain too much though, they have 2 field trips a week, a theme like “saving the ozone layer” and activities to match, not to mention water day twice a week. So with the kids completely entertained – who’s gonna complain? What was left over from the check went to fixing Little Man’s two teeth. Apparently he’s had too much candy which left him with two large holes, one on each side. Of course I’m thinking just pull them suckas… but instead he’ll be getting bling – two new crowns. Regardless – I’m doing the happy dance now that we no longer owe that payment! Thanks Prez Bush – now if you could only get our boys home.
Little help here…
Now that I made the move… wordpress is a’ight. I might like it more if I could get my stuff working.
Why won’t my blogroll show up? How the hell do I respond to a comment? (and have them notified?) Is there a way to show the dashboard in something less than supersize font? Is there a way to modify the template?
I’m thinking Belle is right – I’m only gonna be on wordpress.com for a hot minute!
Comfort, the plan and window shopping
So let me update you: I’ve been spending a lot more time hanging out with the in-laws, especially the bil’s. I have come to get to know them well and I think they now feel comfortable around me. Which is a good thing. Aside from that – things are going downhill like an avalanche at work. The NEW “plan” is dissolving 2 positions by the end of summer. Basically moving to a full call center! – where the tech answers the phone and fixes the issue right then and there. That SO sucks. Were not just talking – my Word won’t do such and such… we are talking ANY issue. WTH! I am trying to move ahead, not go back to basic “geeksquad” support! In the meantime, I have been “window shopping” jobs and have had very little luck with the economy so tight right now, very few people are job hunting and the # of positions are few and far between. Between Gas prices and Summer Daycare… well, let’s not talk about it.
